What is AEON MALL's business model?

We operate 164 shopping malls and other facilities in Japan based on a profit model that aims to develop business together with partner companies. We are also expanding actively into China and ASEAN.

Shopping mall operations are the mainstay of the AEON MALL business. We recruit leading specialty store companies and earn rental income (fixed income) from store tenants. We also plan events and other activities that contribute to higher specialty store company earnings. AEON MALL strives to develop businesses together with partners through a structure in which we receive fees based on the level of revenue growth achieved.

Over the past several years, we have focused on proposing high-value-added solutions in Japan through the use of advanced technologies, in addition to enhancing the multi-function nature of our malls. Overseas, we are expanding our mall network in line with the local characteristics of each community we serve.
